About Us

Bruder, Gentile & Marcoux, L.L.P. has represented clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) since 1976. Several of our attorneys have held key management and staff positions at FERC and all understand the complexities and nuances of energy regulation. We pride ourselves on blending the efficiencies, innovation and individual attention of a small law firm with representational capabilities that clients would expect from the largest law firms in the country.

BGM lawyers are leaders in matters of national energy policy affecting the electric utility and natural gas industries, frequently representing industry associations and interest groups, speaking at conferences and workshops, and keeping clients abreast of evolving FERC policy. Although FERC is our primary focus, we regularly advise clients in matters before other federal agencies and courts and have played major advisory roles in state proceedings. We also collaborate with other law firms on behalf of our clients.

We represent a broad cross-section of participants in the energy markets, including traditional investor-owned utilities, natural gas pipelines and their customers, rural electric cooperatives, municipal utilities, independent power producers, electric and gas marketers, transmission providers, fuel suppliers and liquefied natural gas transporters. Clients rely on us for both strategic and legal advice regarding their corporate activities, customer relationships, contracts, regulatory filings and litigation options. We regularly participate in complex negotiations, draft and prepare regulatory filings and coordinate with expert witnesses. Representing our clients with the highest standards of competence and legal ethics is the cornerstone of our practice.
