Laura joined BGM as an associate in April 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Laura served as an Attorney Advisor in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Office of Enforcement, Division of Investigations and as a law clerk in the Office of Administrative Law Judges. While at FERC, she participated in a major investigation of violations of the Commission's Anti-Market Manipulation requirements, as well as other investigations of possible violations of the Commission's requirements. She also processed Notices of Penalty assessed by NERC and Regional Entities for violations of the electric reliability standards.
Laura graduated from Cornell University (Phi Beta Kappa) with a degree in Economics in January 2002. She received her law degree from George Mason University School of Law in May 2007. She is a member of the Energy Bar Association.
