Joel deJesus, NERC Director of Enforcement, Joins BGM

Bruder, Gentile & Marcoux, L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Joel deJesus, the Director of Enforcement at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), will join the firm as a partner effective September 1, 2011.  Joel joined NERC in February 2009 as director of regional operations in the compliance and enforcement program and he became director of compliance enforcement in February 2010.  While at NERC, Joel helped improve NERC’s efficiency in processing violations of NERC Reliability Standards by focusing resources on risks that are most significant to the bulk power system’s reliability, and by lessening the administrative burdens associated with processing violations that impose less risk to the system.  Prior to joining NERC, Joel developed extensive expertise concerning transmission and interconnection matters while working as in-house counsel for National Grid for seven years.
