Compliance with NERC and RRO Standards

BGM provides representation regarding North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability standards. Our attorneys provide advice on interpretation and implementation of the standards, preparation for NERC and Regional Reliability Organization (RRO) audits, compliance reviews, self-reports and negotiations with NERC and RRO staff. We also counsel clients on the structure of their compliance programs. We have participated in discussions with RRO staff regarding possible alleged violations, mitigation plans and audit findings.

We stay closely involved in the FERC-related aspects of reliability. BGM has intervened and participated in several NERC proceedings before FERC. Given our extensive FERC litigation experience, we are well-positioned to provide assistance with respect to negotiations, settlements and hearings before NERC and FERC concerning compliance with reliability standards.
